Reasons:

The hostel was a very nice place to stay at, having a whole room to myself is something unusual in a hostel. It was pleasant to sit in the public space during the day, enjoying a couple of quiet minutes and later on meeting a couple of people, what I wasn’t too happy about is the price, but that’s due to the location further up north.

The room was clean and spacious, even if imagined with more people inside it would have still been sufficient enough to be comfortable. What amazed me the most was definitely the bathroom with a modern shower, something you don’t find a lot in hostels.

With the location being very central in Helmsdale, not far from the bus stop and not too far from the train station and the town centre it is easy to get from A to B and explore more of Sutherland, having a wide range of local walks.
