Reasons:

There is nothing better than to visit some castle or abbey, discover the history of a place and then just sink into pure nature. The Roslin Glen and Roslin Chapel walk is perfect for such moments and the best thing is… you can end everything and the Chapels café.

Leading you through the more than just green Roslin Glen and past a couple of old mill buildings while you are able to watch out for wildlife or just enjoy the calm sound of the river flowing by.

I can for sure say I loved this route and that it is absolutely amazing, actually one of the most loved ones yet, since I did do this walk while it was slightly raining that day. The trees cover most of the walk and in summer just as in autumn the feeling while walking there is just amazing. You can truly dive into some kind of a fairy-tale here, it is like a different world.

So, if you are looking for a nice walk of some length but without any major ups and downs this walk is very good and following paths through the green most of the time with only very little parts on the pavement the mood of the walk never gets broken and just keeps you into that calm spirit.

I think this might be the first walk, with which I didn’t bother at all with the parts walked on the street or on the pavement. So this walk is getting a 5 out of 5 star rating from me.
